Its Been A LONG Day........

We are finally parked and settled at the Ramada Inn in Lewiston. It was a long day 13 hours from the time we entered the rig till we parked it for the evening. Crossed at Houlton, no problems very nice security took a walk through the rig and wished us happy and safe traveling. Lilly wasn't too impressed that he dared to enter her domain. Shes been a great little traveler, traveling on the couch in her seatbelt on her bed.  We left the home door yard at 7:35 am NB time ~ had breakfast at the big stop in Lincoln and finally parked for the night at 8:35pm Maine time. We stopped in Bangor to purchase a data wireless stick~ugh the clerk missed a step in the setup after we paid in full and it took almost 2 hrs for her to fix the problem while on the phone with her tech support..and of course we all know how anal I am about customer service...but I bit my tongue and we got through it...then it was off to walmart to pick up a US cell phone which we had to log on the laptop in the parking lot to activate...and we all know how impressive I am with all these gadgets...all I know how to do is dial the phone...so there goes another hour of travel time..on the upside..it was a beautiful travel day, the phone did get activated...it was approx 70 degrees F...Lilly peed on command....and I didn't whine too much. Onward and upward toward Lewiston...we were tied up for over an hr on the interstate at a snails pace due to an accident approx 3 or 4 miles ahead of us. So Verizon thank you for the screwup..you may have saved our lives....we hauled into the Ramada Inn in Lewiston, where you can stay with  your RV free of charge and they provide you shower facilities, and electricity. How nice is that !!! We have approximately 4 other neighbours here in the lot with us. Of course the 'man' was getting hungry we hadn't eaten since breakfast, and of course we thought well we will do the grocery thing in Lewiston as we will be there nice and early. It was pretty hard to make a meal out of dog food and pepsi so we unhitched the 'dirty road grimed' car and off we went in search of a grocery store. We did find a shaws so we stocked on essentials only ~found a car wash~ grabbed macdonalds and came back to the rig. Tomorrow we are off to Stroudsburg PA...hopefully we have a shorter day of travel. Its off to bed for us shortly~until tomorrow folks.....ta ta...

  2. As Serenah says HI YA!! Glad to hear that you arrived safely. If the biggest problem you guys had was the communication hook up, guess that's Ok. Hope you had a good travelling day today too. Take care and be safe!
