Well the world did not end as a lot of folks thought. We have been here at The Glades for over a month now and are settled in. Its a nice park and lots of nice folks. The weather has been better than good temps getting into the low 80's until today when a cold front swept down from the north.

Long time with no updates but we have been busy and not travelling much.
We spent our first Christmas away from home in December and had a good day Skype d. with the kids and helped to prepare 600 dinners at the LaBelle legion for those that couldn't prepare their own.
Jan 16 we headed to Tampa for the RV show at the fair grounds met up with some old friends and some new ones had a great time.
Life here at the Glades is busy I have been golfing every week at least once and sometimes twice. Bean Bag Baseball takes up Thursday afternoons although the season ended last week we are having a awards party this week. We have attended 3 Trivia nights two here and one at the church in LaBelle finishing third in LaBelle.
We drove over to Sanibel and Captiva one day very nice Islands on the gulf coast with some big houses and numerous public beaches.
This is Festival season in Southern Florida and we attended the Sour Orange Festival in Lakeport and the Swamp Cabbage Festival in LaBelle both were a great chance to observe local culture and customs.
We have met many new friends here at The Glades and have been visited by some old friends. Life seems busy with very little time to practice retiring but maybe we have it right and this is what retirement is all about, being busy with friends, learning new things, seeing new places. Actually its pretty good. Oh and the weather has been fantastic.

It has been a busy month here in paradise. We had company , made new curtains for the windshield of the rig a trip to Everglades city and numerous rounds of golf. This time next week we will have pulled the slides and jacks and be on our way north for the summer. It seems like only a week since we pulled in to the Glades but it has been over 4 months.
