We did get in a pickle one day, Ralph and Rick thought we should take some back roads..the 'road closed' signs should have been their first clue that the road was bad. But those boys like to be adventurous.
yup we ran out of road... |

We toured Shediac, had a fabulous clam dinner in Cap Pele on the wharf. We played cards, visited, ran the roads and so enjoyed our time with Donna and Ralph. They headed for the US yesterday and are in Bangor safe and sound. And we are sure missing them and their darling little dog Tiffy. We have company arriving tomorrow for the night, then on Friday we are off camping for the long weekend with the grands. It has been a busy busy August..but an enjoyable one.
Take care all~ thanks for stopping by, sorry for rambling (Its hard to remember it all) and be thankful I only gave you all the highlights :) lol...most of all remember

ReplyDeleteHi Guys. We're thinking we could be over for dinner one night soon, probably late October some time. Will that work for you?
ReplyDeleteI would love to cook you and Mar supper...your other friends are arriving here next month :).....and yes October works for us....
DeleteAnd I thought we were busy! I think you just put us to shame. So glad you had a great time in BC and that the wedding went well. Saw the pictures on facebook and they are beautiful. Your tour of Cape Breton and Fundy Park brought back memories of when we were there last year but it looks like you had much better weather that we did. Take some time and just relax, you deserve it.

Hes a pretty special guy for sure and is definitely a wonderful addition to our family...summer is gone and I'm not sure where it went.
DeleteGood grief you've been busy. What gorgeous places you've seen. But none more beautiful than Craig and Rob's backyard. That's an AMAZING header photo. How lucky are they to live there and to have found each other. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteI'm eating my heart out over your PEI and Cape Breton stays. Just typing lobster and ceilidh in the same sentence makes me smile. Boy would I like to have been with you.

DeleteFeel free to head over this way anytime Sherry, we will make sure you and David enjoy NB, NS, Cape Breton and PEI...
ReplyDeleteMissed your posts during the last month, but it sounds like you had a great time of it. Congrats on the wedding - it looks like it was quite a happy and gorgeous day.
ReplyDeleteNow that celebration of a new family member is over and lots more sites seen, planning to slow down for a while? If like most of us RVers - the answer is probably not!
ReplyDeleteI just knew that the header photo was BC!! Great shot. Congrats to Craig & Rob. They have to be pretty special to get you on a plane. You never did say how you managed???
ReplyDeleteLove the shot of the road on the Cabot Trail photo!
If you don't slow down you won't have enough energy to head south for the winter.
The flight was bearable I think.....Ativan saved the day....Not much memory of the actual flights lol....
DeleteYou two have been busier than a 'one armed paper hanger'. Phewww! That was one quick trip from the east to the west coast. Lovely photos from the wedding, Gibsons, and the eastern seaboard.
ReplyDeleteIt is fun to be retired and having so little time for more fun when you are already having a great time. And you are!
Congratulations on your son's wedding. You will, no doubt, have future opportunities to visit the west coast.
I think we will probably drive it instead of flying next time!!
DeleteThis was one of the most enjoyable times EVER on our 8 years of fulltiming !!! You guys & your family made us feel like family and we know we'll be great friends forever... It was such a fabulous time and we are missing you both like crazy ~ see you this winter!!!
