Are we at Sea???

It rained hard all night,(I was glad it washed some of the road grime off the car) and the wind was unreal..but we were comfy toasty warm in Ossumer, with electric hookup last night.

Today been a blustery day today to say the least..we left Lewiston ME and motored on for 7 hours hoping to make it to PA today..but that was not to be...it was just too darned windy..we struggled with winds all day today and at 3pm we said enough of this...No rain today but strong winds on the right front ..it seemed to be a constant battle.

Border Crossing Yesterday Morning at Houlton ME

Parked @ Ramada in Lewiston ME last night

Where is he taking me???? (Hartford CT)
We are currently wallydocking in Fishkill NY. At least there is no snow but holy moly it is chilly, right now its approximately 31F. Its colder because of the wind. We are rocking and rolling here in the parking lot. But we are warm..we have the generator going had supper at Rotten Ronnies, (I was too tired to cook)..and my airstick is working so what more could we ask for. We did ask permission to park and we are away from the building-and only opened the bedroom slide.

Tomorrow we hope to get as far as Fredericksburg VA...will update you upon arrival..

Stay safe everyone....until the next time

“Life is like a party. You invite a lot of people, some leave early, some stay, some laugh with you, some at you, some didn't come. But in the end, after the fun, there would be a few who would stay and help clean up the mess with you. And most of the time, those were the ones who didn't even make the mess: ) How true this is!!! “

  1. No idea what route you're planning, but never again will I ever take the motorhome through Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington. From where you are, I would head west to Scranton, and south to Staunton. But that's just me. :-)

  6. At least you are making progress, stay away from the big cities and dealing with the wind can slow you down a bit. Lull you to sleep too.
Good luck tomorrow and safe travels.

  11. Good progress made in spite of fighting winds. Like you, when we tire of driving, we find a spot and call it a day! You'll soon be in the nicer climes.

    Nice header photo too!

  14. oooh, this is fun. (well, not the wind part) I'll have to start paying attention.
My blog reading time has been severely limited lately.
    A shame, I know.
Keeping the slides in will help keep you warm, so at least that's a consolation.
    Keep it between the ditches!
