A Thursday Travel Day!!

Yesterday was our beautiful baby girl's birthday, Happy 33 Becky!!!
Our beautiful daughter Becky and Rick on her wedding day in April 2010
Had a great day yesterday-we headed down to Estero and Ft Myers area had lunch with friends in Estero, stopped at Camping world to see if our mirror and wiper covers were in yet..but they were not. We could hardly find a parking space, CW was so busy.We had lunch at Applebees with our friends and it was excellent. We sat out on the patio and the server stated our furkids were also welcome on the patio, so that was much better for them versus sitting in the air conditioned car. I had prefilled their kongs with peanut butter and cookies so that kept them pretty busy while we ate.
On the way down we stopped at Sable Palms RV park in Palmdale to see if they wanted a deposit on our reserved lot which we will move to this sunday, but she said nope see you on Sunday. We went to Cape Coral while in the area and visited with my sister and brother in law. We were late heading back (too much chatter me thinks)...and traffic was very heavy for a Thursday evening. All in all it was a great day. Now today is a cleaning and laundry day but that should take too long. Then we will decide on the fly what to do with the rest of the day!
The beauty of retirement..you don't have to make plans or set up schedules..I love it...
I'm trusting the traffic for our move on Sunday won't be heavy as it is Super bowl Sunday. The only football sports we've ever taken part in was when one of our sons played in high school. I do not understand the game..but we attended each and every game as his top cheerleaders. I do like to see the commercials during the superbowl. Here is my take on the superbowl...

Yesterday I felt pretty sorry for this little guy...he only works one day a year but the pressure he has to endue is way up there...
Have a super weekend folks...and be safe out there!

Home is where you park it

  1. Love your Maxine and Groundhog pics! I agree about football. Don't understand it at all. If I watch it is only to see the ads. We will be on our way back to Escondido on Sunday, so probably will not see it either. Safe Travels.

  2. No ground-hog needed in these parts! We have winter anyway. Brrr.
I have my suspicions that there will be a certain amount of Super Bowl chilli consumed in our absence. I'm not a fan of the game at all, but the get together on "SuperBowl Sunday" is always fun.
