Its a fact that Fl needs rain and wow we got some today. The day started off very nice weather wise-we had our coffee, read blogs and emails, cleaned up the MH, walked the dogs, showered up and headed into Cedar Key to tour the area. Quite a quaint fishing area. We walked around and visited on the fishing pier. There were a lot of people fishing!! A very nice area -

This guy was just hanging on the pier waiting for someone to give him some fish I think |

I wonder if this was his wife hanging out waiting for him on the Pier to bring home the bacon? (Fish) |
We did see some dolphins playing but no matter how quick I was with the camera I couldn't catch them in mid air. We strolled the streets and into the shops.

Before leaving we toured the cemetery over in Cedar Key-a beautiful old cemetery. We stopped at the store and then the post office as I needed boxes to fill up to send home the easter presents to the kids. We then ran to the dollar general to buy some packing tape-that store has pretty much anything you would need.
We took the furkids for a walk upon our return and just managed to get back home before the heavens opened up!! And wow did it rain for a few hours. I checked emails, made us a lunch, watched some TV and took a nap..I just got up an hour ago so I hope I can sleep tonight.
Take care all thanks for stopping by, have a super evening and be safe out there.
Home is where you park it

Rain wow!
ReplyDeleteDon't get much of that here in the desert in the winter. maybe a nice rainy day would give us chance to not enjoy the sun. But we are not complaining. Relax take it easy and enjoy the wonderful lifestyle that you have.
Sure enjoyed your walk around Cedar Key. Thanks for reminding us what we enjoyed so much when we were there last!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of the pelicans. Kate (from Cholula Red) would love these!
ReplyDeleteAwesome pelicans photos! I really like your new header picture.
ReplyDeleteLove the pelicans. We encountered some a while back on the Oceanside Pier here in California. I heard someone say that the different colors occur in the mating season. Don't know if this true.

Looks like a lovely place to spend rainy days.
ReplyDeleteI hope the rain is done for a few days. It sounds like you got enough!
ReplyDeleteGREAT photos of Cedar Key... it is a cute old town but it doesn't take long to visit it does it. It rained just a little here ~ I thought by the skies it was going to be really bad but it wasn't... Guess it all dumped out on you guys. Nice picture of the brown Pelican ~ we don't see many hear in this part of Florida.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're having a good time.
Have fun & Travel safe

Just catching up after yesterday but those were all beautiful pictures. Judy would really be the expert here but I believe the Pelican sitting around doing nothing was the male. The busy Pelican was the female. Most women would say that sounds familiar.
ReplyDeleteIt's about time.
Looks like a wonderful place.
ReplyDeleteThanks great blog
