Are we at Sea???

It rained hard all night,(I was glad it washed some of the road grime off the car) and the wind was unreal..but we were comfy toasty warm in Ossumer, with electric hookup last night.

Today been a blustery day today to say the least..we left Lewiston ME and motored on for 7 hours hoping to make it to PA today..but that was not to was just too darned windy..we struggled with winds all day today and at 3pm we said enough of this...No rain today but strong winds on the right front seemed to be a constant battle.

Border Crossing Yesterday Morning at Houlton ME

Parked @ Ramada in Lewiston ME last night

Where is he taking me???? (Hartford CT)
We are currently wallydocking in Fishkill NY. At least there is no snow but holy moly it is chilly, right now its approximately 31F. Its colder because of the wind. We are rocking and rolling here in the parking lot. But we are warm..we have the generator going had supper at Rotten Ronnies, (I was too tired to cook)..and my airstick is working so what more could we ask for. We did ask permission to park and we are away from the building-and only opened the bedroom slide.

Tomorrow we hope to get as far as Fredericksburg VA...will update you upon arrival..

Stay safe everyone....until the next time

“Life is like a party. You invite a lot of people, some leave early, some stay, some laugh with you, some at you, some didn't come. But in the end, after the fun, there would be a few who would stay and help clean up the mess with you. And most of the time, those were the ones who didn't even make the mess: ) How true this is!!! “

  1. No idea what route you're planning, but never again will I ever take the motorhome through Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington. From where you are, I would head west to Scranton, and south to Staunton. But that's just me. :-)

  2. Hey K & R we'd never do the Philly, Baltimore and Washington ...we are heading to Scranton down 81 to 66 to 95 at Fredericksburg:) hopefully we will get there tomorrow.

  3. That darn wind can be a deal breaker for sure !!

You are still making great progress, and will soon be in warmer temperatures.

    Have fun !!

  4. We are new at this and was curious how you stay at a ramada inn parking lot? Do they let travelers stay I. The parking lot like Walmart?

  5. Sitting here in cold Ontario......and jealous!!
Are you not concerned about all the salt roads on the RV systems??
I cannot bring myself to run our RV in the winter.

  6. At least you are making progress, stay away from the big cities and dealing with the wind can slow you down a bit. Lull you to sleep too.
Good luck tomorrow and safe travels.

  7. you are moving right along! if only you could get a tailwind!!

  8. Yahoo! You're on the way! It's cooler here at 45 at night, but will warm up again next week. It never lasts long around here. I can't wait to see you!!!!!

  9. Love that header picture..ya'll clean up nice!! Hope the weather gets better for you soon. Travel safe.

  10. When you go down 81 past Scranton when you see the Hospital on the hill to your right near the Moosic St Exit blow the horn, My sister Wendy lives next to the hospital, That's where I spen 3 months last year nursing her.Once your south of VA. the temps will start up, Be safe out there. Sam & Donna..

  11. Good progress made in spite of fighting winds. Like you, when we tire of driving, we find a spot and call it a day! You'll soon be in the nicer climes.

    Nice header photo too!

  12. Must be windy all over the country! Travel safe.

  13. Hope to make to warmer climes very soon. Safe travels whichever route you take.

  14. oooh, this is fun. (well, not the wind part) I'll have to start paying attention.
My blog reading time has been severely limited lately.
    A shame, I know.
Keeping the slides in will help keep you warm, so at least that's a consolation.
    Keep it between the ditches!
